Playroom
I’ve been collecting ideas here and there for my baby’s room that I want to eventually convert into a playroom/mini office. When I say office, I mean a tiny desk with my laptop! It’s a small space that I have to work with, so I have to be creative with storage space. I’m leaving the Ikea Expedit in the playroom but I want a cubby system where the girls can sort their own toys.
I like the Cameron Wall System from PBK because you can mix and match the units to your preference, and the units are low enough where I would be able to use the top of the storage area for books, frames, etc.
Since I’ve had luck with JCP’s furniture so far, I decided to see if they had anything similar and they do! The Linden Street Collection has a similar storage system. It got good reviews, but with the price difference coming out to be $250…I might just end up going with PBK. I’m only getting two units – two open bases and two cabinets. If I had more space and needed an entire wall of these units, I would def consider the Linded Street Collection. I would just want to make sure the top cubbies/cabinets come with a tip resistant kit. Earthquakes scare me.
One unit on the left for my youngest. The other unit on the right for my oldest. Tabi is learning so quickly now and is already wanting her own bowl of snacks, her own coloring book, her own straw cup with whatever Lila is drinking, etc. If big sis has something, the little one has to have the same thing. It’s cute to see but hard to handle at times. So getting a storage space for each girl is a must! In between the units, I’ll have their desk and hang this above…
I fell in love with the print! I saw it the other night on One Kings Lane, which by the way the sale is ending tomorrow! They have over 30+ countries to choose from. It’s a large print, and I’m hoping the color of this print won’t clash too much with the color of the playroom.
Next on the hunt…abc decals!
