Remember looong ago when I made the base for the paper mache bugs. Well, it was for the twins’ Kindergarten project and really, the project was to “show off” the parent’s, er I mean student’s artistic skills/creativity during open house :) Although I made the base of the insects (out of foil and masking tape), the kids did all the paper mache and painting. And we did not buy one thing! Both insects were made using items found in the home. Here’s my daughter’s butterfly.

And here is son’s stag beetle.

So proud of their work! and here’s some pictures from their open house.

My favorite, next to my son’s of course, was the one on the bottom right. The ladybug was made entirely from produce!

The ladybug located in the middle all the way to the right…awesome!

End of the school year seems to be much busier than the beginning of the school year. PTA dinner, volunteer luncheon, collecting for end of the school year presents for the teachers, all while still managing my household. Hope you all are surviving the week! I’m off to run errands with the baby.
