Shutterfly Photo Album
I did it! After basically half a year in the making, I finally ordered my daughter’s first year album! I’m so ecstatic because it took me so long and now I can see the fruits of my labor. I’m thinking of ordering one more so I can have a copy and my daughter can take her copy when she moves out of the house.
She’ll want to keep it then right?
I decided to go with Shutterfly because of the ease in making the photo album. Knowing me, it would take me forever to see anything if I had to do it from scratch. There is a HUGE selection of ready made templates for you to use or you can make your own, just like you would if you were making a digital scrapbooking album. You have over 6,000 embellishments to choose from that are organized in categories which is super helpful. Typography, flowers, animals, baby, etc. There are also about 1,700 background papers to choose from. Many of my sheets are made from their existing templates, but I decided to make some on my own to see how easy it would be. Take a look.
Halloween template I used…
Versus a page I made on my own about her crawling. I chose the background paper, picture placement and sizes, embellishments (borders, frame, baby, paperclip), and added my own text.
Shutterfly isn’t as intimidating as the other programs out there for digital scrapbooking. Only thing with Shutterfly is that you cannot download your own papers/embellishments to use like some other software. It’s easy to do, but it’s time consuming as is making any other digital album.
I’m taking Lila to Elmo’s Music live in concert tomorrow morning with some friends. Can’t wait! Have a great weekend everyone.
