Splendid Ella Moss Sample Sale and my weekend

Had another packed weekend with a birthday party and a family dinner. But before all that, I went to the Splendid Ella Moss Sample Sale in Los Angeles. I’ve been going to the Splendid/Ella Moss sample sale for years now and never have I seen a crazier commotion of getting through the doors like today. This is one warehouse sale I try not to miss because I love their clothes and especially their kids’ clothes. So soft and so comfy. Yet if I was a first time Splendid warehouse sale shopper and witnessed what I saw yesterday morning, I would think is it worth it to deal with crazies like these women + men!?

My girlfriends and I arrived around 8:15, and there were probably 20-30 people in front of us. The sale starts at 9am. As people are lining up, the line starts forming in a U shape so that the people who are arriving later end up waiting near the elevators. As soon as the guard started letting people in the elevators, the people waiting at the end of the line started storming up front and some even ran to the stairs. Now mind you, the sale is held on the 11th floor. Imagine running 11 flight of stairs? Just plain dumb or maybe smart if they’re fast runners? haha I don’t know but these women meant business. The guards couldn’t control the madness, and once people in the middle of the line knew what was happening, everyone started rushing forward. My girlfriends and I were able to catch the next elevator, and all of us women cramped in that elevator were in disbelief of what we just saw. I think security needs to be amped next time, or they need to change the way the they handle the lines.

Anyhow the sale wasn’t as great as it was in the past. I wanted to find a birthday present for Lila’s friend, and I found a matching set…

$5 pants…ahhh you can’t beat that. Splendid kid’s leggings are made with pima cotton, so they’re super soft. Love them!

After the sale, we went to a birthday party at My Giggles. It was a lunchtime party, so the girls were not in the best mood because we had to cut their nap short.

But once my oldest got her face painted, it was smooth sailing after that.

We had a family dinner at Buca Di Beppo to celebrate two birthdays – big sis and my hubby. The lil ones behaved so well today so that us mommas could eat! Yummo, and we had so much dinner left to take some home for leftovers. Love their Linguine Frutti Di Mare!
