Striking a balance
The twins have now been in school for a lil over a month now and just when I get our routine down, the twin’s extracurricular activities are coming to an end and baby girl is trying to drop 1 of her naps. Never a dull moment here.
And while swim and cooking class is coming to an end, I have started looking for different activities to enroll the twins in. As it is, with homework, dinner, quiet reading, and a bedtime of 7:30, there really is very little time to do much else. But then I think about what my kids are missing out on if they don’t get to take piano lessons, or play sports, or take art class, etc during the school year. Being a parent who can strike the right balance is so hard! While I want my kids to be well rested and succeed at school, I also want them to be well rounded. Just some thoughts I’ve had on my mind as of late…
Oh, and then let’s add to that…is baby girl missing out?
I know, she’s so young and I have lots of time to “make it up” to her but still…
And then I like to remind myself every so often, that I am only 1 person and I can only do so much. Helps me sleep peacefully at night!
So, mommies, how do you find that right balance for your kids/family? I would love to hear!
