It’s been a busy few weeks for my fam. Birthday parties, funerals 
, baby showers…the whole gamut of events have been keeping us out and about. The little downtime we’ve had on the weekends, we’ve been spending it on gardening and playing outdoors since the weather has been so nice.
I’ve been wanting to start a veggie garden for the LONGEST time (three years to be exact), and finally I just took both girls by myself one day to Lowe’s and bought a bunch of plants and herbs. They helped me plant them with their handy dandy gardening tools from Daiso and Disney gloves from Lowe’s. We passed the gloves, and I saw my oldest get a quick glimpse of them and she immediately turned around and marched right back to see why there was a princess picture on the box. Marketing tools…we are a sucker for them!
Anyhow, to my surprise, our peppers have already sprouted and I can see small tomato buds starting to form!
The girls love to water the plants every day. I planted basil, and maybe it’s because it’s from “her” garden my oldest wants to pick the leaves and have me cook with it. I’ve used it as a topping on her spaghetti and I even cooked it with some chicken and garlic. She ate it right up! Unfortunately, my youngest isn’t too fond of it. The main reason why I bought basil is because my friend introduced me to eating bagels with cream cheese topped with a slice of tomato and basil. SOOOOO delish! I’ve been eating it for breakfast for about a week straight. Not sick of it yet! Hopefully when the tomatoes and bell peppers grow, they’ll both want to eat those too.
I can’t wait for tomorrow and to post pics from my girlfriend’s baby shower. Along with some other girlfriends, I’m helping with planning a baby shower for one of my oldest friends – we met in 4th grade! I’m excited for her since it’s her first child. I’ll be taking pictures of the shower and posting them after!
Lastly, I made a custom doll for a special little girl, and both me and my oldest are smitten over her. My daughter was begging me to make her one too. Sigh…how can I say no?

I’m addicted to Instagram (@lilsprinkles)! haha! I was one of those peeps who got a Facebook account waaaay late and by the time I got on, it seemed like alot of people stopped being so active on it. But Instagram…I don’t care who’s on or not, I’m hooked on the filters! So here’s what we’ve been up to this spring break.

Spring break is almost over and while I loved having the kids home (although let me tell you…there were a few moments when I started counting down!), I did find that we were quite busy…busier than when they are at school! It gave me a glimpse of what my/our summer will look like.
The twins have a movie date + sleepover at their grandparents while the baby and I will be enjoying the peace and quiet at home. Hope you are having a wonderful week! Thanks for stopping by!

I’ve been working on a small shop update…hoping to have the dolls completed by April. Their faces have been painted and now comes the fun part…accessories!
It has taken me awhile (like all new programs and apps do) but I finally know how to work Instagram and Instacollage! sigh…just when I master one thing, something else comes up and I find myself behind yet again.

In case you’re wondering…Alex is doing well The kids love him and we’ve overheard my oldest daughter talking to him and of course, tattling on her brother to him. Now, if only mommy could remember to move him every night! There have a been a few times very late at night or super early in the morning that I panic b/c I have forgotten to move him! Not to mention, my son recently lost his tooth so I was on double duty! Definitely a busy time!
In the midst of all this craziness, I have been working on a picture frame gallery for one of my walls. I am sooooo close to completing it. It has been in the works for some time and I just placed the order for my pictures last time. Yippee! Can’t wait to show you all the planning it took to get it completed! haha.

My 2 girlfriends are having their 1st babies! I have known these girls since junior high school! And we’ve remained the dearest of friends, which is such a rarity. So I thought long and hard about what to gift them. Here are a few of my favorite things to gift a mommy-to-be!
Books! My all time favorites are Love You Forever, The Giving Tree, and Stellaluna (not pictured). They get me in the heart every. single. time. Such touching books about true, unconditional love!
NoseFrida. Where were you 6 years ago?! Lil sis filled me in on this secret. It’s a lil gross when you think about the concept but what won’t a mommy do for her baby? It’s the perfect gift if mommy’s due date is around the winter and/or if there are older kids who will spread their germs all over the lil one.
Handmade bibs and burp cloths.

Handmade dollies for the nursery!
Lastly, the faux chenille blanket. I’ve made plenty of them (here, here, and here) and love gifting them! If only they didn’t take so darn long to make! haha! Yes, I’m your immediate gratification kind-of-gal.
