Tabi is only 17 months old, and she’s climbed out of her crib already (partly our fault since we didn’t have the crib at the lowest setting)! I almost caught her doing it again last night, and it scared me to death. She’s a pretty determined child, and she’s not afraid of much esp her sister. She can definitely hold her own! We have hardwood floors, and next to her crib is just a rug. After the first incident, we’ve layered blankets and cushions around the crib to be on the safe side. She’s such a tiny 21 pounder, but she’s got some good toe grip and strength in her arms!
I really don’t want to put a crib tent on. Just looking at the amazon picture makes me sad. Talk about being confined. I’m sure parents who buy it consider it a life saver, and I’ll prob rethink this crib tent if there is a second incident. For now, I’ve just been busy contemplating on when to put them in the same room so they could live out their wee years together.
I still remember some fond memories of me and big sis sharing a room with a big ol Michael Jackson poster on our closet door. (Remember big sis?) We moved our twin mattresses together and when our cousin would come sleep over, guess who was forced to sleep in the middle gap? I recall big sis and my older cousin nice enough to fill in the gap between the mattresses with another blanket but still! I was so small back then I would sink inside. Oh those were the fun days! I can’t believe it’s time for my little girls to start making some memories like that together.
I love redecorating and rearranging when it comes to the kids’ rooms. I love at what others have done to their shared kids’ bedrooms…
I love the bold wall print!
This would prob be similar to my set up with a dresser in the middle. I’m so envious of this huge space she got to work with!
I spy a pair of Ikea beds! Love the look of matching beds but different bedding.
This is a pic of the Catalina bed which Lila has already. Gotta purchase Bed #2 now. I’m bummed because they have the bed in white now, and when I bought it last year they only had it in off white! Guess enough people complained about the off white color…
I might have to steal this idea of the wall decor above the beds. Since I live in an earthquake prone area, I don’t have things hanging above their beds. However, this would be an adorable idea to find some chalkboard decals that are in the shape of a frame. What a cute way to display their names!
Never ending sleepovers, sharing secrets at night when they think we’ve gone to bed, comforting each other at night, an extra room for my stuff…sign me up! Can’t wait for the decorating to begin!
